I've recently been browsing through Texas web designers' profiles and portfolios. My, how times have changed! Before, it didn't matter whether you have a Facebook page or a Twitter account. Now it seems, you're out of the circle if you don't. It's like, hey tell your friends or clients what's going on with your life! Are you still alive?
The point is, social media has given us a chance to update each other without having to spend money on cellphone bills. And it's instant too. For Texas small business owners who don't have a website, it pays to have a Facebook page.
I'm happy to announce that Wix.com now offers wonderful template designs you can use for your Facebook page. Uh-oh. Is this going to be another one of those MySpace "pimp your page" trends? Let me assure that Wix.com's designs are very elegant and professional looking. I've tried it myself. Once you choose your design, all you have to do is enter or drag and drop elements.
There are plenty of possibilities in using Facebook as your platform for business communication. (Did you know you can actually sell on Facebook using ecommerce shopping cart? I'll tell you about that in my next post.)
Having said this, I so look forward to more awesome designs in the future. And free is always unbeatable!

ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for your time reading this post! Marketing is a process so it evolves. It's not an overnight job that just happens once you publish a website and sell online. There are plenty, plenty of ways to increase your customer base -- that's the whole focus of this blog (other than helping Texas small business owners build secure sites).
ReplyDeleteIf you want to build a good customer base you have to employ both online and offline tactics such as SEO and social media. What platform are you using for your ecommerce site? A lot of existing ecommerce service providers (such as the ones we recommend here at Get Online Texas) come with marketing services included in the package.
